Jeff & Janis Roach, Instructors
Jeff Roach graduated with a B.S. from Abilene Christian University in 1986 and has been in the transportation and freight brokerage industry ever since. He first worked as a traffic manager. He then went on to work for a major less-than-truckload carrier, whose philosophy was that you needed to experience every phase of the job before achieving a management position. He started out working nights on the freight docks, supervising the loading and unloading of shipments. After that, he worked as an inside account sales representative and was soon promoted to outside sales for national accounts. He then obtained a position with a major truckload carrier with an airfreight division, where he held the position of Vice-President of National Accounts. In 1995, he began operating his own freight brokerage, which he grew into a multi-million dollar business. He began developing freight broker/agent courses in 2001.
Jan Roach graduated with B.S. from Baylor University in 1982. She entered the transportation field in 1995 when she became a partner in a freight brokerage operation. She has over 10 years of experience in running a brokerage/agency including sales, marketing, accounting/claims, and day-to-day operations inside of a brokerage. She has also provided training in the industry since 2001.
Both Jeff and Janis have an entertaining and inspiring teaching style. Graduates leave the course overloaded with practical information, helpful resources and the motivation to change their life (just read through the testimonials page).

Ron Moore, School Director
Ron Moore, director of the Freight Broker Training course in Florida, has a mile-long resume of experience in Transportation. He knows how to teach everything in the field because he’s done it. In his 40+ years, he has earned his nickname, “O Wise One.”
“It was always my desire to help other people become successful.” Ron began his career as a union dock worker, yard-jockey, and driver. Within a decade, he was supervising a fleet of union drivers as the Operations Manager. His journey took him through large and small trucking operations, expanding his understanding of the entire industry. He is an expert at bettering any operation he touches. For example, he became president of a struggling 62 truck flatbed and specialized operation. Seventeen of the trucks were unmanned. He filled all those trucks, acquired 20 additional trucks, thus turning the company into a very profitable venture. While Ron was a recruiter of agents and owner-operators at Pacer, the business grew 78%. At Landstar, he earned numerous awards for top revenue producer including the Jeffry Crowe/Bob Zonnville Lifetime Achievement award.
He is anxious to guide others into becoming top revenue producers, as well. He remembers how it was just starting out, and the exhilarating feeling of reward, when the hard work pays off. He is a great encourager and is greatly anticipating being a part of this new beginning of the Florida division of Brooke Training.

Tish Cozine, Instructor
Tish’s journey with us has been unique because before she became an instructor, she was a student at Brooke.
Tish’s career in the Transportation Industry started in 2008. Before that, she had a traditional office environment job working Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00. When the economy crashed, she found herself searching for a new career. Fortunately, she was led to this industry, when one of her contacts recommended that she come train with us to learn and understand the basics of the transportation industry. After graduating, she opened her own agency, which she has now been successfully operating for almost 10 years. Tish can truly relate to our students and has so much wisdom to share. We are so fortunate to have her as part of our team.
“I knew nothing about this business but the training I received from Brooke opened the door to where I am now. The knowledge and experience I now have is something I love to share with the students. It truly gives them a sense of what it takes to become a broker or an agent in this industry. Thank you!” – Tish
