You’ll gain all the details and “ins and outs” of setting up, opening, and operating a freight brokerage or agency, including licensing and regulations, operations and ratings, sales and marketing, and back office details. The program curriculum will teach you the necessary skills and give you the valuable materials and resources to reference as you build your business. Class Instruction is delivered through a combination of lecture, video, and hands-on training. You will practice:

Freight Broker Advanced Course
Five-Day Intensive Course
Maximize your Freight Broker Training by investing in an extra five days of individualized consulting.
Basic Training is a prerequisite for this course (some exceptions may apply). You can choose to attend the week directly after your initial training, or any other week in the future that follows a Basic Training Course to further develop and polish your skills.
The Advanced Training Program is taught by expert consultants who are on the cutting edge in brokering. This training is designed to be up close and personal, and catered to your individual needs. The information you learn in the Basic Course is put to work. During this program, you’ll work in a live brokerage to gain experience doing all the jobs necessary to operate a successful brokerage.
Auto Transportation Course
Prerequisite: Freight Broker Basic Course
In five days of specialized niche training, you’ll learn the necessary skills to work as an Auto Transportation Professional. Through hands-on training, our expert instructor, Brandi Patterson, will share the ins and outs of Auto Transportation. In order to enroll in the course, you must take our Freight Broker Basic Course as a prerequisite.
Here is some of what you will learn:
- How to find carriers and various carrier types
- What to expect from your carriers
- Carrier claims, invoicing, and contract terms
- How to recruit new customers and what your expectations should be of your customers
- How to proficiently quote various areas
- Different types of vehicles and how to move them
