Drake Sliver,
Instructor
1974
Started in trucking as a city and regional driver for Oroweat Baking Company in Dallas, Texas, then onto Sharon Trucking Company in Longview, Texas.
1976
Started working for Schneider Transport, Green Bay, Wisconsin as an over-the-road driver before Schneider became Schneider National. Logged several hundred thousand miles running coast to coast accident-free.
1979
Started working for Subler Transfer, Versailles, Ohio as an over the road driver in their refrigerated, LTL division, operating in the Midwest to East Coast.
1981
A new career path created that would lead to a 14 year career in motion picture preservation with the Library of Congress. Retired early in 1995 to pursue the trucking business full-time.
1990 - 1997
As a side business venture, purchased a new Freightliner FLD 112 conventional truck and leased it to Shenandoah Motor Express in Versailles to operate the truck in a regional 26 state area. A second unit was added a year later and the fleet grew to (17) trucks and (25) trailers, and a maintenance facility in Tipp City, Ohio.
1997 – 1999
Entered in an agreement with Greystone Consultants to form Drake Logistics, a spin-off from Drake Transnational Carriers.
1999-2001
Managed a freight brokerage company, Traffic Systems for the business partners from Transcon Express. Grew the company in a service niche hauling Samual Adams beer for the Cincinnati brewery into the Northeast with a dedicated group of owner-operators and outside contractors.

2001-2002
Assumed the role of VP Fleet Mainentance for Shenandoah Motor Express to reduce cost and downtime of over 240 power units and trailers. Integrated a fuel optimizing technology with global positioning to reduce fuel cost by capturing negotiated discounts and reducing out of route miles.
2002 – 2004
Assumed role of Logistics Manager, Midwest Region for Market Transport, Portland, Oregon. Off site management of $14 million dollar Samuel Adams account with complete oversite of core carrier program, rates, contracts and movement of 6,000 loads annually.
2005-2006
Founded affiliate logistics offices for $160 million 3PL. Established all strategic directions and financial structures. Hired, trained and mentored staff to meet strategic goals. Directed business development of refrigerated, van and flatbed shippers to maximize seasonal potential and margins. Senior, (C-Level) sales presentations to Fortune 500 companies. Presented sales and marketing of domestic and international truck, rail and intermodal service. Proven record of consistently high margins within 175 affiliate office corporate structure
2006-2008
Effectively recruit, set up and manage highly profitable agent offices, from budgeting to effective team training, management and motivation. Increased sales from $40,000 per month to $1.66 million per month in two years. Provided oversight management of 10 agents and two direct reports. Provided insight for IT department with regards to Citrix servers and agent software development.
2008-2009
Complete P&L oversight and management of 26 agent offices with 43 agents and sub agents. Developed new recruiting strategies and advertising including social networks and blogs. Provide mentorship and sales support. Corporate sales meetings with C-level staff at multi-billion dollar global oil and gas customer to expand agent business. Doubled agent growth within the first eight months of employment. Partnered with Mexican agent prospects to expand international presence and growth of cross-border freight movements
